A single embryo transfer should be the standard practice in most situations for a younger woman under 37 especially if the quality of the embryos is good blastocyst day 5. However it is generally accepted that women in a higher age group 41 with previous implantation failure and poor grades of embryo can put back two embryos. Like you Id a second embryo but that arrested on Day 5 and I was absolutely devastated.
All our hopes rested on the Day 3 embryo. Id had 2 Grade AA embryos from my first cycle and they didnt work after 2 Day 5 transfers so I had no hope for this little Day 3 Grade B one. But life works in mysterious ways sometimes and it has hung on in there.
