DH came home bout 6pm and we BD. I laid back bottom propped up for about 20 mins. Just took another OPK 7pm still positive.
Do I need to BD again today. Will tomorrow and the next day suffice. However an individual can sometimes get more than one OPK that looks positive in the cycle.
It can be common to have 2 usually 3 max. Just because the test is positive does not mean you should just be trying to get pregnant during that time. You could ovulate 12-48 hours of getting that positive test.
1st positive opk now what. TTC 1 on cycle 2. Never got even close to a positive opk last month BFNs followed by a super light period which was essentially 1 day plus spotting.
Fast forward to today CD12. My cycles have been 29-31 days. I just got a peak opk using Femometer OPKs and uploading to the app.

Fertility monitors OTKs or OPKs determine this peak to detect ovulation and give a positive test. After 36 hours from LH peak the ovary releases the egg into the adjacent fallopian tube. What happens after a positive ovulation test.
Once ovulation occurs the cover of the egg now regressed starts releasing the different hormone. Thus there is a drastic switch in levels. Mostly you just guess.
You are most fertile a few days before and a few days after an OPK. You will ovulate 12-72 hours after your LH surge starts. And sperm last a couple of days inside you.
But the problem is a positive OPK doesnt tell you exactly when the LH surge started and you dont know if you will ovulate 12 or 72 hours after that start. Yesterday morning I got my positive opk now i tested this morning and its negative. Does tht mean Ive already ovulated and I dont need to DTD no more.
I had what I think was ovulation pain yesterday like a dull pullin sensation in my lower stomach. You need to see the instructions over the package that will let you know that after 24-36 hours the ovulation takes place. Later to reading the results as positive.
However actually it depends. And at this junction the OPK certainty ended misleading a lot of people. How long after a positive ovulation test should we have sex.
I would count ovulation 12-36 hrs after your Peak result. Thats how Ive always done it and Ive been successful. I continue to have positive opk for 1 or 2 days after the peak one but i know LH is coming down at that point.
And i would BD on ovulation day and the next 2. A positive OPK or positive LH surge is signaled by a second line in the display window thats as bold as or bolder than the control line. As we noted earlier your maximum chance for pregnancy occurs in the three days leading up to and including ovulation.
I got a positive OPK yesterday at 1pm or so and again today at 5pm. I know ovulation happens 12-48 hours after a positive OPK but is that after it goes back to negative or after the first positive one. Ive read about ladies missing their LH surge so I always thought it only lasted a few hours or a day at most.
Now Im confused again. The average is 12-36 hours but many women go well past that. 48 hours sometimes more.
It just completely depends on your cycle. But its universal that a positive OPK is when the line is as dark or darker than the control line. I dont know what OPKs you use but look up Pregmate.
Well I was doing that but the line has stayed the same darkness for three days now. I expected it to get lighter but it hasnt. I guess I will keep testing I got lots of em D.

Elizabeth F270 22082020 at 814 pm. A positive OPK typically suggests that you will ovulate soon. Sperm can survive in a womans body for a number of days so lovemaking should take place so the sperm can be present when the egg descends down the fallopian tube.
If you receive a positive result on an OPK you are at your highest fertility level. No OP darker the line the closer you are to ovulation. When the test line is as dark as the control its positive.
Commercially-available OPKs are known to detect the surge of LH in your urine that occurs 18-24 hours before ovulation. While LH is a highly reliable tool to predict ovulation LH tests may fail to give you enough notice because the most fertile days of your cycle are 1-2 days before ovulation plus OPKs have other issues more on that soon. Also your opk will be positive BEFORE you ovulate and will tend to be negative on O day itself.

So now that you understand that LH is what causes the ovulation you will more understand that OPKs DO NOT say that you have ovulated. They say that you have a surge of LH which may or may not cause ovulation. With that surge typically you should ovulate within 12 to 24 hours.
So when you have your positive opk bding within 12 hours is optimal. I think your OPK can still be positive a few days after it initially is positive. Check out LH on the graph on this website.
I continued to have O pain and more ewcm so I opkd again and I have gotten very dark poistives for 3 days in a row now. I hope I didnt miss O. 0 0 0 0.

Another CB OPK 4pm CD17 still smiley positive - ejected stick lines are dark -equal just like CD17 CB OPK w FMU test this morning. Cervix still highsoft had more ewcm now than earlier.
